NEW YORK STATE SENATOR PAM HELMING ANNOUNCES BID FOR RE-ELECTION

Updated: Sep 17

Helming represents New York State’s 54th Senate District including Ontario,

Livingston, Wayne and parts of Monroe County

Senator Pam Helming filed petitions at New York State Board of Elections in Albany to

run for re-election to the 54 th District of the New York State Senate.

Senator Helming was elected to the New York State Senate in 2016 and began her first

term in office on January 1, 2017. Throughout her career, Senator Helming has been a

vocal advocate for law enforcement and first responders, veterans, seniors, farmers,

small business owners, the environment, children and families, and taxpayers. In a

district surrounded by the beautiful Finger Lakes, she has been a longtime champion for

the protection of local lakes and watersheds, clean drinking water, and the area’s

abundant natural resources.

Senator Helming said “It has been the honor of a lifetime to represent the residents of Livingston, Ontario, Monroe, and Wayne Counties in the New York State Senate. I am seeking reelection this fall to continue fighting for the things that are important to my constituents.”

Wayne County Republican Chairwoman MaryAnne Nicosia said “Since Pam Helming was

elected to the New York State Senate, she has been a tireless advocate for first

responders, veterans, active duty personnel, as well as small business owners, farmers

and people of Wayne County. Her experience and knowledge is especially important

now as individual rights and fundamental rights are being systematically stripped and

replaced by agendas that fail to represent Wayne County.”

Assemblywoman Marge Byrnes of the 134 th Assembly District added “Since January 1,

2023, I have had the privilege of representing many of the same constituents as Senator

Pam Helming. She is genuine, hardworking, and dedicated to the communities she

serves. The people of the 54 th Senate District are lucky to have such a fierce advocate on

their side.”

Supervisor John Moffitt of the Town of Mendon added “State Senator Pam Helming is a

tireless advocate for our community, consistently fighting for our needs in Albany. Her

dedication to restoring critical state funding for local transportation aid is unmatched,

ensuring that our voices are heard and our local infrastructure needs are prioritized. I

proudly endorse Senator Helming for her steadfast commitment to serving our district

and securing the resources necessary for our growth and prosperity.”

As a State Senator, Helming has advanced measures to provide tax relief to middle class

families, increase tax credits for small businesses, grow opportunities for local farmers,

expand mental health resources and protect seniors. She has also led the fight against

policies that make New York less affordable and less safe.
